‘Hull six-piece Low Hummer are the product of a world irreparably bored.
Sharing a common thread consisting of Pixies records, The New Adelphi Club and late-night decisions; the band were carefully stitched together by vocalist Daniel Mawer, with members stolen from stages and pulled from music crowds in and around their hometown. Merging fuzzy guitars and battered up synths, the band have spent 2019 hidden away - writing and recording in a room behind their favourite venue. With a line-up of multi-instrumentalists, the sound is an expression of disillusion, where only vocal harmonies and synth endure. Low Hummer are a band in which nobody’s strictly anything, except Skint and Northern.
