Garage Rock from Hull. The Black Ravines combine the energy, and aura, of 70s Rock ‘n’ Roll with a modern twist of blues. The band’s raucous display and powerful performance promises to create an unforgettable atmosphere.
In the first 6 months of forming, The Black Ravines achieved the rare feat of headlining Hull’s legendary ‘Sesh’ night… twice! Their crowds have frequently formed human pyramids and circle pits. The ethos of The Black Ravines is simple, to use dynamic rock ‘n’ roll as a tool to reflect the emotional core of finding your way in the industrial city The Black Ravines call home.
After support from Soundsphere Magazine and BBC introducing, The Black Ravines first single ‘Johnny The Ghost’ has been received well and they have found themselves supporting John (Times Two), Frauds, and Jools at shows. Additionally, they have also recorded a live session with Soundsphere magazine. They released their sophomore single ‘Creeper’, a track about escaping the demons we all personify when they try and haunt us with the past, on Friday the 24th of March.
