Heavyskint
MUSIC CITIES STAGE
6:00pm - 6:30pm
Since forming last year, Glasgow’s Heavyskint have wasted no time in establishing themselves as ones to watch. Initially a bedroom side project, the current line-up came together that Summer ‘25 and have since sold out every show they have played to date, including turns at iconic Glasgow venues such as King Tut’s and QMU, as well as Edinburgh Sneaky Pete’s.
Fronted by the enigmatic Jacob Hunter, the raw, unpredictable nature of such performances has gained the band a growing following across Scotland. Drawing upon influences of modern indie-rock while possessing the brooding, spacious vintage of Pink Floyd and the confrontational edge of 90’s acts such as The Verve and Spiritualized. Moody atmosphere, big choruses, noisy guitars, and high intensity.
‘He Says, She Says’ is the band’s third single, a sleazy and menacing track that takes its cues from true crime and found-footage horror, the sound of a band that finds its musical strength in dark places.
‘raw, unfiltered edge’ – Discovery Music Scotland.
‘equal parts vintage rock and youthful recklessness' - The Indie Scene.
'chaos done right' - Music News Monthly.
