Fresh from a breakthrough 2025, Glasgow’s hip-hop and jazz collective Kai Reesu have established themselves as one of the UK's most exciting and enigmatic emerging live acts. Their debut release, KOMPROMAT VOL. i, earned widespread critical acclaim, culminating in the Scottish Album of the Year Award 2025, alongside standout performances at Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, Kelburn Garden Party, and nominations at the Scottish Jazz Awards.
In 2026, the band return with a carefully selected run of UK performances while preparing the release of their highly anticipated sophomore album. Positioned at the intersection of Scotland's underground hip-hop and jazz scenes, Kai Reesu continue to redefine both genres, blending conscious lyricism with expressive and intuitive musicianship.
