OLIVER PINDER
4:45PM – 5.15PM
After a hiatus, Oliver Pinder reinvented his sound, shifting from dark indie-folk to a dynamic blend of guitar-driven alternative anthems.
Drawing inspiration from Matilda Mann, Jeremy Zucker, Wunderhorse, and Bleachers, his music resonates with the anxieties of today's younger generation.
The 24-year-old Wakefield artist returned to the scene with his debut EP, Potential, I Guess?, in May 2023. Exploring the struggles of twentysomethings, the record featured Stressed, Beautiful Second, and Late July, earning critical acclaim and airplay on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Introducing. The release launched a UK tour with his full band — lead guitarist Morgan Lindley, drummer Harry Stobart, and later, bassist Michael Tuck.
Building on this momentum, Pinder and his band played major festivals, including The Great Escape, Barn on the Farm, Humber Street Sesh, and Long Division. In February 2024, he embarked on his biggest headline tour yet, selling out Leeds' 350-capacity Belgrave Music Hall.
A year later, he headlined the iconic Brudenell Social Club, selling over 370 tickets.
Now, Pinder is set to release his highly anticipated EP, in Summer 2025.
Led by Haunted, BBC Introducing's Track of the Week, alongside other singles so far lonely together and never ever. It will be his first vinyl release, accompanied by an 18-date record store tour.
With a celebrated debut, sold-out shows, and a growing fanbase, Oliver Pinder continues to establish himself as a rising force in indie music.
