It's 1991. Two like minds bond over their shared love of music, whilst stood in a Hull taxi queue and Pearl's Cab Ride is born.
These veterans of the exploding Acid Jazz scene in the 1990s reformed after a 20-year hiatus as a 'one-off' - that one-off has lasted nearly a decade.
A string of releases under their belt, several major festival appearances, and support for the likes of Smoove & Turrell and The Hot 8 Brass Band - possibly even the record holder for most consecutive Humber Street Sesh performances (??), this funk and soul behemoth, with a Latin twist and a social message are ready to to take you on a real hip trip.
