Currently studying at Leeds Conservatoire, Romy Taylor is a singer, songwriter and performer.
Romy’s music mixes contemporary jazz instrumentals with heartfelt lyrics and vocals into epic ballads and groovy tunes.
In the past year, Romy Taylor has played We Out Here Festival as well as selling out both headliner shows in Leeds. Throughout the years, all her releases have been aired on BBC Introducing West Yorkshire and North West, as well as appearances on Radio 5 Live.
Taking inspiration from artists like Nai Palm, Lucy Rose, Björk and Minnie Riperton, she combines an atmospheric feel with catchy sing-along melodies.
Her upcoming release Nectarine is a unique and one-of-a-kind tune that encompasses syncopated catchy motifs, layered floaty harmonies, and spoken word, into a dramatic build-up of emotions.
